Horor series for gamer... it not just the game!! from "capcom."

Resident Evil, known in Japan as Biohazard (バイオハザード, Baiohazādo?), is a survival horror video game by Capcom. The inaugural title and first installment in the Resident Evil series, it was originally released in 1996 for the Sony PlayStation and has subsequently been ported to the Sega Saturn and PC.
In 2002, a remake of the game was released for the
Nintendo GameCube
featuring new graphics, voice acting and many significant gameplay changes. A Nintendo DS port of the original was released in early 2006 as Resident Evil: Deadly Silence.

It was the first game to be dubbed a "survival horror," borrowing from the "ambient survival horror" genre coined by Alone in the Dark.Accordingly, Game Informer refers to "the original Resident Evil" as "one of the most important games of all time." The inspiration for Resident Evil was the earlier Capcom game Sweet Home. Shinji Mikami was initially commissioned to make a horror game set in a haunted mansion like Sweet Home

Biohazard Chaaracter:Rebecca Chamber

Rebecca Chambers
The youngest member of S.T.A.R.S Bravo Team. Acting as the field medic for the group. A gifted woman who sped through her university and graduated at the age of 18. Calm and organized, she can take control of a situation without it letting it take control of her. Physically weak and cannot take many hits. But her skill with first aid makes her invaluable. She is the only one who can mix herbs and chemicals.

Rebecca Chambers is also playable for certain portions of Chris' scenario, provided the player encounters her at a certain point and undertakes tasks in a specific order. Due to these requirements, a player may complete the game without having taken control of Rebecca at any point during gameplay. Rebecca is equipped with the S.T.A.R.S. standard Beretta 92FS and is unable to retrieve further weaponry and certain items. She has six item slots and her exploration range is limited. The player may take control of Rebecca at two separate points in Resident Evil. Rebecca is the youngest member of STARS, at only eighteen years old, and serves as the team's medic.

In the first
Resident Evil, Rebecca is a supporting character who appears only in Chris' scenario in the game. She is one of the surviving Bravo Team members who is already in the mansion prior to Alpha Team's arrival in the game. Her introduction and other appearances throughout the game differ depending on what path the player takes in the game, but her role is essentially to assist Chris during portions which require her assistance such as mixing chemicals or playing the piano. Depending on what path the player takes, Chris may have to save Rebecca from a Hunter during the second visit to the mansion - the player has the choice of saving Rebecca or leaving her for dead, with the latter resulting in one of the game's lesser endings.

On July 23, 1998, S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team is sent in to investigate a series of grisly murders in the Arklay Mountains region outside of Raccoon City. On the way to the scene, Bravo's helicopter malfunctions and is forced to crash land in the forest. Luckily, there are no fatalities. The team soon discovers an overturned Military Police transport truck, along with the mutilated corpses of two officers. The team soon splits up and Bravo team's field medic, rookie member Rebecca Chambers, stumbles upon a train suspiciously stopped in the middle of the forest- the Ecliptic Express. Soon thereafter, she discovers that it's infested with zombies. Rebecca begins to wonder what she has gotten herself into. After a little exploration, she teams up with the man the Military Police were escorting to his execution; former Marine Billy Coen, and the two of them face off against a band of zombies, swarms of strange leeches, and a mysterious individual with possible links to the disaster. As with previous installments, the two characters visit various locales through the course of the story, including a train (aforementioned Ecliptic Express), a research facility, a laboratory and a factory. The Umbrella's underground facility from Resident Evil 2 is briefly visited by Rebecca at one point of the game as well.

FANLISTINGGAME VERSION JILLMOVIE VERSION JILL

Jill Valentine, described by fellow S.T.A.R.S

. member Barry Burton as "the master of unlocking", has the (slightly) easier path through Resident Evil. She can carry up to eight items - two more than her longtime partner, Chris Redfield - and she has the ability to lockpick desks and grab the good

ies inside, while Chris has to use keys to open them. Jill also has musical talents that come in handy during her explorations of the mansion. Best of all, Jill can find and use the powerful Bazooka, a weapon that Chris can only dream of. Jill is assisted during her explorations by Barry Burton, who (usually) saves her bacon when she's in trouble.

Jill is one of the most decorated members of the S.T.A.R.S. Team, having come through time and time again to save other team members from certain death in many dangerous situations. Currently, she is using her talents with special mechanical

devices, such as lockpicks, as part of the elite Raccoon City unit.

Jill Valentine, the S.T.A.R.S. explosives expert, is brave and cunning. As a master lockpick, she is able to gain access to secret rooms throughout the mansion. Armed with a Bazooka, Jill descends into the laboratory, ready to confront the evil that lies in wait.
Web Spinner is Umbrella's designation for the enhanced oversized spiders who spit poison to immobilize their victims. The Web Spinner can release dozens of offspring - ravenous baby spiders that seek the nearest life force for nourishment. Jill will need to rely on her quick wits and sharpshooter skills to stay out of Umbrella's evil web.

As a beautiful and tough as nails member of the S.T.A.R.S. team assigned to Raccoon City, Jill helped rescue her fellow team members from the original T-virus outbreak in the Umbrella mansion on the outskirts of town. Now, trapped in Raccoon City and struggling to fight her way out, Jill's last escape is almost at hand. The only thing standing between her and freedom is a genetic mutation created by Umbrella whose only goal is the destruction of all S.T.A.R.S. members!

Age: 23
Height: 166cm
Weight: 49kg

An intelligent soldier who has rescued many S.T.A.R.S. members from danger in the past, Jill was reassigned to Raccoon City shortly before the sightings of dog creatures and the discovery of Umbrella's mansion in the forest. She is especially skilled with mechanical devices and highly trained in the use of lock-picks.

Albert Wesker

ALBERT WESKER

Age: 38

Height: 183cm

Weight: 84.5 kg

Blood Type: 0

My name is Albert Wesker. I aspired to become a leading researcher at Umbrella Inc. A pharmaceutical enterprise who covertly conduction Bio Organic Weapons, better known as B.O.W., for development. But at the leader development training ground situated in Raccoon City, I met a brilliant and talented researcher who decided to take a different path; William Birkin. In time I shifted my position to S.T.A.R.S., a special force unit of the Raccoon Police Department. Umbrella, for crisis management reasons of their illegal Bio Organic Weapons development had many of its people working in the police department. I became the leader of S.T.A.R.S. and conducted all sorts of intelligence activities for Umbrella. As I continued to serve I devised my own plans and waited for the right time moment to execute them. Then at last, opportunity knocked.

July 24, 1998
The freak murder incidents that had occurred in the forest near the mansion started it all. The mansion was Umbrella's secret BOW laboratory and it was clear that the indevelopment T-Virus was the cause of the murder. Initially, Umbrella instructed me secretively to keep S.T.A.R.S. to the mansion, dispose of them, then report the situation to headquarters so that their combat with the B.O.W. could be used for data analysis allowing Umbrella a comprehensive portrait of the B.O.W.'s combat abilities. From the two S.T.A.R.S. teams I first pitched in the Bravo Team. As expected, the top elite of S.T.A.R.S. gave all they had and became useful sample data. Then following, I geared up the Alpha Team to "search and rescue" the lost Bravo Team. The members of Alpha Team also proved their worth and as expected many died.
There were five survivors from the initial eleven S.T.A.R.S. members. From the Alpha team were Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine and Barry Burton. And from the Bravo Team were Rebecca Chambers and Enrico Marini. It was time to begin executing my plans.
In the midst of the whole affair I could take Umbrella's ultimate Bio- Organic Weapon, the Tyrant, and join forces with an opposing corporation of Umbrella. To buy into that opposing corporation I would need the actual combat data of the Tyrant. The surviving privileged members of S.T.A.R.S. were just the perfect bait.
I decided to have one of them play the Judas and draw them to the Tyrant. That Judas was Barry. Barry was the strong truth and justice kind and cherished his family more than anything. His type is easy to manipulate. I just took that most important thing away from him. My only miscalculation was the high potential of Chris and Jill. But with the family man Barry playing Judas the scheme went as planned. Then the winds turn unexpectedly. I had to eliminate Enrico who found out what was behind it all. I used Barry to get to him.
After I successfully got rid of that nuisance I awaited the sample specimen that Barry would bring to me in the Tyrant room. I injected the virus I obtained from Birkin in advance. If I made Umbrella believe I was dead, it made it far more convenient to sell myself to the opposing corporation.
According to Birkin the virus had profound effects. It would put my body in a state of temporary "death". It would then bring me back to life with super human powers. Therefore I unleashed an awesome Tyrant from its slumber and let it attack me. As my consciousness faded away I was certain that the whole scheme would end in success. Never did I imagine that S.T.A.R.S. could slay the evil creation. I lost the Tyrant and the plan I devised which cost me my humanity ended in failure. Now anything and anyone who stood in my way would be terminated. It's been that way for a long time and it always will be. At all costs I had to make S.T.A.R.S. pay.
September 1998
Two months had passed since the mansion incident.
To regain everything I had lost in my new organization I joined hands with Ada Wong, a female agent who was also sent to spy on Umbrella. I knew in my bones that the key developer was William Birkin, but what he didn't know was that Umbrella did not play games...with anyone.
Eventually, Birkin would be assassinated, and the G-virus would be in the hands of Umbrella. But the salvage team led by Hunk was ahead of us. By the time they got to Birkin, he'd already injected himself with the G-virus...he became his own creation, and decimated them. Soon after, the T-virus carried by rats spread throughout Raccoon City, and Umbrella faced its worst scenario.

September 28, 1998

The good citizens became zombies, and the city had headed for its devastating fate. Humans were no match against zombies. In the chaos, Umbrella Europe applied a new type B.O.W., called "Nemesis".
The Nemesis would hunt down and destroy the surviving member of S.T.A.R.S., Jill. It became imperative that our organization would also obtain the Nemesis data.

September 29, 1988

To cover up the whole affair, Umbrella jettisoned a Tyrant to take care of Leon and Claire, who were trying to unveil their secrets. Then, there was a new revelation. Birkin used to hide the findings of his studies in his daughter Sherry's pendant.
It was very possible that the G-virus was there. While Umbrella was busy with their cover up, we had to capture Sherry before they did. I sent Ada undercover to seek the location of Sherry. I, the "dead man" on the other hand, had to work in the shadows.
A spy's obligation and priority is in mission, to carry out the mission like a machine without any emotional interference. But through her interaction and involvement with Leon Scott Kennedy, there had been an affection growing inside her. My instincts sensed danger. Something had to be done, quickly. My instincts did not disappoint me.
Even though Ada almost had her hands on the G-virus, which Leon had acquired from Sherry, that affection of her drove her to her death. But she was still of some use. I had to save her life. My people hurried to retrieve the G-virus that Leon threw away.
But Hunk, the only survivor of Umbrella's salvage team, was there before us.

September 30, 1998

Our only option left was to bring back Birkin, the monster, as the sample specimen and have him finish Leon and Claire in order to obtain his combat data.
Although Birkin lost the battle to Leon and Claire, we succeeded in gathering samples of the G-virus from his dead body.October 1, 1998
In the morning the government bombed Raccoon City in an attempt to stop for the viral outbreak. This was, of course, their feigned reason... Later, Claire left to Europe to find her lost brother Chris, and Leon joined forces with an underground anti-Umbrella organization.
Sherry is safe in our hands. I would never underestimate Birkin. There's something about this little girl..."

Leader of the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team. The very image of cool, he has a distinctively dignified way about him, and his trademark black sunglasses give him an unapproachable air. He wears a tactical vest over his uniform, carries extra ammunition in a mag pouch on his side and has a wireless receiver affixed to his left chest. In his leg holster he has a Samurai Edge that he customized himself. His shooting skills are nearly as good as those of the ace, Chris Redfield.
Furthermore, having a degree in bioengineering, Wesker worked at the Arklay Lab alongside William Birkin, who was later to discover the G-Virus. His purpose was the study of the T-Virus. But after his betrayal of James Marcus, chief of the office training school, the destinies of these two were sundered. While William advanced into the very nucleus of the Umbrella Corporation, Wesker resigned himself to working as an information officer. Afterwards, when S.T.A.R.S. was established, he was made team leader. He then began counterintelligence work aimed at preventing S.T.A.R.S. from discovering the truth. The turning point for Wesker came when he was dispatched to Arklay Mountain. He planned to defy his secret order to obliterate S.T.A.R.S. and obtain combat data. In reality, he had been planning with one of Umbrella's competitors to betray them and was looking to make a good impression.
But his plans were spoiled by Chris and Jill and Wesker was forced to move on to his backup plan. That was to steal the G-Virus that William had been working on. Two months after the Mansion Incident Wesker made his move, along with the spy Ada Wong. This time, his plans were stopped by intervention of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, as well as Umbrella's Special Engineering Corpse. However, he finally stole the G-Virus from the remaining corpses and managed to escape from Raccoon City just before the bomb was dropped.
After stealing the G-Virus, Wesker regained his honor but that wasn't enough to satisfy him. His next goal was to take command over the emerging young scientific genius Alexia Ashford at the underground laboratory at the South Pole. In order to obtain T-Veronica, the new virus that she'd created herself, Wesker led his secret organization's elite commandos in an attack on Rockfort Island. While still acting in his undercover role, he planned a fateful reunion with his original junior officer and greatest rival, Chris Redfield. Not as human, but as a new organism. A deviant from the natural world...

Weight: 70.2kg

Blood Type: A

Employers: Raccoon City Police Department

U.S. Government

Leon Kennedy breezed through the Police Academy

with his daring intelligence, and markmanship.

Little did he know that he would need all those skills,
plus plenty of luck,to survive his very first assignment.
He arrives in Raccoon City eager to begin his career,
only to encounter a nightmare city filled with the living dead.

Leon S Kennedy is an idealistic cop who was summoned to Raccoon City by the Chief of Police. Leon became disenchanted with the system he has sworn to uphold as he gradually uncovered the depths of treachery involved in Raccoon City. Although he is sometimes brash and sometimes reckless, his sense of right and wrong make him a hero. He graduated from the Academy at the top of his class but he soon discovers that his police training did not prepare him for the terror that has invaded Raccoon City.

Leon is an idealistic rookie cop. He burns with the need to protect and to serve, and life as a cadet was an eye-opening experience. While reckless and brash, Leon is certainly not as naive as his demeanour would suggest. He is highly qualified for his new job with the Raccoon Police.

A young rookie cop with a passion for his destiny to serve and protect. Leon is placed in a situation that is far from preparation of his training. Nevertheless, he rises to the task and refuses to flee in the fray. Though seemingly naive, Leon is far from it. He has a strong grasp on the situation even when others' cooperation is not in his favor. All this resolute individual wants is to offer safety to those in his presence. Beyond this his courageous deeds will earn respect and a debt of gratitude to all he helps.

Former idealistic rookie police officer in Raccoon City, subject is responsible for the destruction of the Umbrella facility outside of the city and the death of the mutated William Birkin. Although whereabouts are currently unknown, reports have surfaced of subject being spotted in Europe near some Umbrella secret locations. Use caution when dealing with subject. Although his demeanor suggests naivete, subject is resourceful and cunning.

Leon was a rookie cop when he started out on his first assignment in Raccoon City, he is now a veteran and one of the most highly skilled recruits of the underground organisation. Leon is idealistic and deeply wants to protect and serve, but he has experienced at first hand the harsh truth of reality. At first glance he may look naive but this is misleading and he has been known to be aggressive and even arrogant at times. Leon is highly qualified in his line of work and a good sense of humour makes him popular with his colleagues.

Agent for the U.S. Government. He has been sent to Europe on a solo mission to rescue the President's kidnapped daughter, Ashley. Leon is one of the few people who survived the destruction of Raccoon City six years ago.

Arriving in Raccoon City for his first day of work as a police officer, Leon Scott Kennedy found a community in chaos. Forced to flee from hordes of dead citizens brought back to life by an insidious virus manyfactured by the Umbrella Corporation, Leon worked his way through the tunnels and sewers of the city to safety. He watched in overwhelming sadness as the government handled the outbreak situation in Raccoon City with an overwhelmingly final solution - nuclear annihilation. With the downfall and dissolution of Umbrella, Leon felt slightly relieved and convinced himself, like everyone else, that the horror could never happen again...
That was six years ago.
Determined to protect the people, Leon is now a government agent. Having worked his way up from agency to agency to the top ranks of national security, Leon has now completed the training necessary to join the secret security service of President Graham himself. There's just one hitch. The President's daughter has been kidnapped.

Leon's first assignment is to rescue and return the President's daughter. Searching the world for clues to the whereabouts of Ashley Graham and the group that kidnapped her, Leon eventually travels to a tiny European community. The local police scoff at his requests for assistance, but agree to drive him to the village regardless. Leon is not surprised to be receiving resistance from foreign agencies, but the resistance he will face in the village is nothing like he has ever experienced before...except for that time, six years ago, when death was all around and the amount of time you could survive was measured by the number of bullets left in your gun. Is there a possible link between the events of six years ago and the violent actions of the villagers?

September 29, 1998. A day Leon S Kennedy will never forget. His nightmares of the atrocious events in Raccoon City haunt him even today. Nightmares of a frantic struggle against the living dead, his search for the G Virus and his desperate battle with the Tyrant. And all that on his very first day of service for the R.P.D. (Raccoon Police Department).
That was six years ago. Today, Leon is an elite agent of the government of the United States. Apart from his admirable ease with firearms, Leon's melee proficiency with a knife is outstanding. For all this, his speed, analytical thinking and his gift for keeping calm even under the direst circumstances make him an elite fighter second to none.
His current assignment: locate and rescue the President's daughter, abducted by an unknown party. No simple task, considering that there is not a trace of the young woman other than a vague rumour of a sighting near a Spanish village. Armed with his combat knife, a 9mm handgun and a photo of the girl, Leon begins his search. Little does he know that his former nightmares are soon to be replaced by very current ones...

Chris Redfield

Chris Redfield

Age: 25 (now 31) Place of Birth: New York, USA Blood Type: O Height: 181cm Weight: 80.5kg Affiliation: R.P.D. S.T.A.R.S. (Alpha Unit) Position: Point Man Speciality: Marksman

History

Chris began his career as a pilot in the Air Force. He spent quite some time there before being kicked out for reasons unknown. There has been much speculation over why he was kicked out, ranging from his temper to disobeying orders. Either way, he soon became a drifter before he was spotted by Barry Burton, who noticed his talent and recruited him for S.T.A.R.S., the Special Tactics and Rescue Squad in Raccoon City

.

Chris and Barry completed several missions together over the next three years, Chris

quickly rising the ranks of the team and becoming an elite marksman as well as a skilled pilot. New members were soon recruited and the team

sent on what would prove to be their last mission together. Sent into the Arclay Mountain region surrounding Raccoon City, the assignment was simple. Locate the missing Bravo team. However it soon became a fight for survival, as the Alpha team were almost instantly attacked by crazed dogs once on the ground and they were forced into a nearby mansion.

It was here that Chris found Rebecca Chambers, a new recrui

t to the Bravo team, and also the grizzly remains of quite a few other Bravo members. Things were obviously not right in the mansion, as it was not only infested with, to Chris'

horror, zombies, but other unholy creatures as well. Not to mention the crazy puzzles and confusing rooms.

After thoroughly investigating the area Chris found himself in some underground labs, and it was here that everything started to unravel. A company named Umbrella, mostly known

for making pharmacuticals, were secretly creating Bio Organic Weapons and deadly viruses. Worse, Alpha captain Albert Wesker was actually working for them, and had masterminded the whole ordeal.

Finally giving up his facade, Wesker decided to show Chris Umbrella's ultimate weapon - the Tyrant. A massive, uncontrollable creature that soon showed its true colours by gutting Wesker without a second thought. Chris managed to

briefly put it down and give himself time to escape. Elsewhere Rebecca set off the mansion's self destruct sequence, and also finding Jill nearby the remaining team members took off. Not before one last battle with the Tyrant

however, and when Brad, pilot for the Alpha team finally returned, he handed Chris some much needed help. A rocket launcher. Blasting the Tyrant into a million pieces the team took off, the mansion exploding underneath them and effectively destroying all evidence of Umbrella's wrong doings.

Upon their arrival back in Raccoon City the remaining S.T.A.R.S. members tried to warn the city of what they had discovered, but no one would believe their crazy stories. Worse, the Chief of Police was in on the whole deal, and did all he could to help discredit them, and generally make life hell for all around them. Chris became obsessive in his quest

to bring Umbrella to justice, and soon rediscovered his worst fears - Umbrella were creating a new virus, this time more deadly and unstable than the last.

Deciding to hit Umbrella head on, Chris quit the S.T.A.R.S. and left for Europe, Umbrella's headquarters. He remained there for a few months, eventually meeting up with Barry and Jill from the Alpha team after they finally escaped from Raccoon City as well.

It wasn't long however before Chris' urgent help was needed elsewhere. His sister Claire, who had been searching for him since the mansion incident, discovered that Umbrella had him under surveillance. More urgently however, she needed his help, as she had been captured and was stuck on an island infested with zombies. Claire managed to get her message to Leon, an R.P.D. officer, who used the coordinates to find Chris and pass the message on.

Chris quickly set off to find his sister. Arriving at Rockfort Island he found it nothing but a warzone. The one

remaining survivor, Rodrigo, briefly gave him news about Claire before passing away. She had managed to escape the island, but where she had gone, he didn't know. Invesigating the area, Chris was soon reaquainted with an old buddy; Wesker. Now superhuman thanks to a virus he had injected from Umbrella, Wesker quickly set upon beating Chris up, but not before revealing the whereabouts of his sister; Umbrella's Antartic base.

Wesker eventually left Chris to continue on his own mission, and Chris took one of the nearby Harrier Jets, heading for

Antartica. Upon arrival Chris found more of the same, but eventually found his sister and they had a long awaited reunion. It was cut short however by the appearance of Alexia Ashford, demonic head of the base. Claire fled to help her friend Steve while Chris remained, having to defeat Alexia before he could move on.

Chris later caught up to Claire, but found her locked behind a security door. Only the self destruct system could open it, so he set it off and they were reunited once again. However, this reunion was also interrupted by Alexia, and in a brutal battle Chris finally finished her off once and for all..

. only to find himself face to face with Wesker, holding his sister hostage. The two briefly battled, but as the base self destructed around them both decided their fight could wait till next time and took off.

Chris and Claire escaped the base, but their work wasn't over yet. Chris reminded Claire they still had one more thing left to do - bring Umbrella down.

Chris' current whereabouts are unknown. We can only assume he went back to Europe with his sister and again joined forces with Jill and Barry to continue their work there.

T-VIRUS

The Tyrant virus, or T-Virus, is the main virus used by Umbrella, and is responsible for the creation of most of their BOWs.
According to reports in the game, Dr. Marcus, Albert Wesker and Dr. William Birkin succeeded in creating the Tyrant virus at the Arklay Labs on December 4, 1978 through synthesis of the Progenitor virus and leech DNA. Through this synthesis, the photosensitivity of the early Progenitor strain was replaced with pyrosensitivity, a property that can be seen in most of the series's enemies.
The Tyrant virus supposedly operates similarly to most other viruses, but also has the abilities to animate dead tissue, to substantially mutate its host, and to infect nearly any tissue in any type of host. It animates dead tissue by killing and replacing any mitochondria in infected cells, and then combining with these cells to produce enough energy for motor and lower brain functions. By doing this, most of the body's systems, such as the circulatory or respiratory systems, are made redundant. However, this process has the drawback of severe necrosis in the host, and produces the distinctive rotted appearance of most BOWs. The mutations are produced when the virus incorporates itself into the host's RNA and considerably alters it. Creatures with genetic structures different than humans generally show less severe mutations, and usually only increase in size.
As a side effect of the virus' cannibalization of its host, specifically its digestion of the host's frontal lobes, all hosts suffer from greatly increased aggression. The virus also damages the hypothalamus, which results in a flood of neurotransmitters, enzymes, and hormones which induce a psychopathic rage and hunger in the host.
The Daylight is the only T-Virus vaccine, but must be taken before transformation. The movies also present a preventative vaccine known simply as Anti-virus, which must be taken several hours before the infection. In Resident Evil: Extinction, it is shown that if too much of Anti-virus is taken, it will kill too many cells and cause the growth of tumors, causing the user to adopt the form of the T-002 Tyrant. In Resident Evil: Apocalypse, it is revealed that if the anti-virus is taken too late, the T-Virus will cause it to be rejected.
